Much of what you know about economics and indeed life in general can be divided into two categories:

1.) The information that you have learned from various conventional, bias sources.

2.) The common sense which I hope and believe you posses.

I just want to open your eyes to other possibilities. Challenge authority, question dogma, ask yourself what you believe. The purpose of this blog is to inform not by static writing but by sparking curiosity to move you to learn more and better yourself.  Not every post is about economics but economics is about everything.

Oh, and why is it called snuffs?

I will, for this blogs one year aniversary, explain the reason… if it lasts that long.

  1. Question dogma?

That should always be our main objective. Nevermind the results! And please try to make your blog a life commitment towards achieving it. Its design and your writing style, as well as the introduction make it look as a worthwhile thing to keep. I’ll be waiting for your “Snuffs” name explanation.

I hope you persevere and have at least enough success with your effort to be satisfied. I am looking forward to reading your blog. (By the way, thanks for commenting on my blog.)

Thank you for commenting on my young blog, and I would encourage you to keep telling the truth as you see it. I wish you much success, and I echo your call to think about and question what you may have been spoon-fed by the education system, and to also rely on your own common sense, not some talking head on TV. More of us should think that way.

    Dear trahantheman,

Looking forward to learning from your blog. Your mentioning of Ludwig von Mises Institute, Peter Schiff, & Ron Paul caught my eye.

Good luck with your studies. Lately, I’ve been reading on Economics from the Austrian/Free Marketeer’s perspective. Currently, I’m reading Peter Schiff’s ‘Crash Proof’. So I definitely have some questions bouncing in my head.

I once knew a professor that insisted before We begin…We should define what we are about to study. Take nothing for granted. So my gift to you is this:

Economics is the study of how Humans allocate Limited resources to Satisfy our needs & wants. (Please feel free to Revise as necessary.)

So you see…I agree with you…that Economics is more existential than People realize. Especially when We remember…that our Time itself is Limited. After achieving this Epiphany…I’ve been trying to understand Economics…as fast as I can afford.

May the Economy be with you…

    Sincerely,

    cbsure
